Thank you Believer and Dubstepped,
I believe in God, I do not believe in Religion, I am very spiritual. Your right no need to prove why to anyone.
Answer your question why I am here to keep informed about JWLand.
i'm wondering why believers remain members of this forum which is clearly hostile to believers.
as one member said, nonbelievers pounce on any semblance of belief like piranhas on prey.
as former jws we should have had our fill of judgmental know-it-alls, but here we are.

in catholic dominated countries many people are named after the messiah jesus , are their any that are named after his god jehovah / or yahweh ?
anywhere in the world ?.
i have only come across one , in america of all places.. his name was yahweh ben yahweh , and i don`t think he would be used as an example by the wt society.. google him.. has their been anybody else ?
My son has always been quite the straight faced comedian. Sometimes you cannot tell when he is joking or he is being serious. His name is Christopher so one day at work he told his boss he wanted to be called "Christ" it is short for Christopher. The boss said no, my son said that is not fair look at all of these people you hired by the name Jesus you have running around here that I have to supervise.

In the US, the case I was involved in the pervert was facing a life sentence had he not plea bargained. So he ended up with a sentence of 15 years finally did 18 because of bad behavior. Moved twice just could not get along with the other prisoners.
i’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.
Cofty,
If you are reading this forum 20 post per page go back to page 5 my earlier post. I refuse to get into a debate with the likes of you. I explained my beliefs in an earlier post. I believe our God is a God of Love and that Bible was written by men and not inspired by God.
Do not direct any further questions my way.

I am with you 100% Flipper!! Where has this judge been buried in the sand. Until they start putting these perverts behind bars for life where they belong the message will never get across.
Stuckinarut, yes Elders who do not report are accessory to the fact.

Believer,
"I meant that we cannot experience spiritual things through our 5 physical/animal senses – seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and touching. But humans have an additional sense. Some call it intuition, or the 6th sense. This 6th sense is how we perceive spiritual things. The 5 senses are objective and can be authenticated in a way that others readily accept, i.e., they can taste, touch, see, hear, smell it too. But the 6th sense is subjective. It is a personal understanding or epiphany or revelation. One person cannot prove their personal spiritual revelations to another. He may be able to articulate it, but authenticating it can only occur if the other person is also able to perceive it through their 6th sense. But a spiritual revelation is just as real to a person who uses that sense as are the things perceived with the animal senses. Its kind of like love. If I love someone, I know it. But everyone else will just have to take my word for it. "
I totally understand and agree with you about the 6th sense. I feel it very deeply, it has given me deep strength to carry on in life.
Here is a statement that takes a lot of thought because a lot of people will not understand the meaning of it.
Are you walking with God or are you making the appearance of walking with God?
How many people attend a KH, church or any place of worship and the minute they leave they forget the basic rules set forth by their Supreme Being for moral conduct. Love one another, giveto those less fortunate, lying, honor thy mother and father, you know the list.
jw's want to begin a study through their new "what does the bible really teach?
" book.
should a non-jw study with them just to point out the contradictions and muddled thinking in the book?
Never a JW I learned the hard way. You are only allowed to ask questions that conform to their way of thinking. If you waver from their way of thinking the answer is "Good bye, have a nice life "
If you would like read my intro to this forum. I asked the wrong questions after 5 years.

Believer,
Never a JW, raised a Lutheran and gave up on religion at the age of 50. I now believe very strongly in God or a Supreme Being and I am very spiritual. I cannot say that I believe in all of the Bible.
I believe that God if he had created Religion he would have created one religion so all of these religions are man made.
I believe that God wants us all to love one another and live in peace. We should take care of each other and help the less fortunate.
I know that something much stronger then me has held me up through some mighty tough struggles in my life and he has given me the strength to carry on. We have walked this path together for 65 years and I am not letting go anytime soon.
Why I believe or what I believe may not be written in a book or have an exact name but it gets me through daily life.
For me I accept other people's beliefs unless they are harmful to people like the JWS. I have been a life long advocate for children, women and gays.
something struck me the other day.. elders are told to maintain confidentiality with regard to the details of judicial cases or congregation "discipline" in an attempt to dignify individuals etc.. this is even the case for known child abusers!.
yet, if they suspect someone of being an "apostate", for instance being a member on this forum, they will spread such information far and wide, through the witness "grape vine" to congregations miles away (or even in other countries).
so, does that mean they place more importance on "apostasy" rather than child abuse?.
Never a JW but after watching the ARC and 5 years of experience with the "Elder" are they NOT confused as to what is truth and what is a lie oops theocratic warfare. I mean they are so used to lying it becomes second nature. I would not trust them with any piece of information nor would I trust any information that came out of their mouth. Sorry. Just my personal experience.
